Questions We Get a Lot
Straight answers to what our front desk fields most, pulled straight from the actual calls and emails we get.
How does the ski shuttle actually work?
It's a free loop to Heavenly Mountain Resort, running about every 30 minutes starting roughly an hour before lifts open. Ask the front desk for that day's schedule — it can shift slightly on powder mornings.
What's the actual check-in and check-out window?
Rooms are ready at 4:00 PM, and we ask guests to be out by 11:00 AM. Both can flex earlier or later depending on how busy the calendar is — just ask when you book, or call the morning you're arriving.
Does everyone in my group need to be 21?
Not to stay here, no. The rooms, pool deck, dining rooms, and spa are open to any age. The casino floor itself is the one exception, restricted to 21 and older under Nevada gaming law.
Is parking actually free?
Self-parking, yes, for overnight guests. Valet runs a nightly fee if you'd rather hand off the keys. Anyone just visiting the casino floor or a dining room for the day gets their self-parking validated at the desk.
Can I use the pool in the winter?
Yes — the outdoor pool and fire pit deck run heated year-round, and honestly the fire pit side sees more use in the colder months than in summer. There's also an indoor soaking pool in the spa wing if you'd rather stay inside entirely.
Do you take pets?
A limited number of rooms allow pets for an added cleaning fee. Call ahead, especially around ski season, since those rooms book up faster than the rest of the property.
Are the room rates on your pricing page final?
They're our standard published range for a typical two-night stay, but actual pricing moves with the season and the event calendar. Whatever we quote you at booking is what you'll pay — no surprise line items at checkout.
Can the property handle accessibility needs?
Yes. Accessible rooms, ramp and elevator access throughout, close parking near the entrance, and a pool lift on the deck are all standard, not something you have to request weeks in advance.
Do the restaurants take walk-ins?
Most do. Timber & Ash is the one exception where we'd suggest reserving ahead, particularly Friday and Saturday nights — everywhere else takes walk-ins, though you might wait a few minutes on a busy weekend.
How do I book a wedding or a bigger group event?
Reach out to our event team with a rough date and headcount and they'll walk you through which space fits — everything from an 18-person dinner up to a 280-guest ballroom wedding is something we've done before.
What's the closest airport?
Reno-Tahoe International is about an hour out. South Lake Tahoe Airport, just across the state line in California, is closer at roughly 10 minutes but has far fewer commercial flights.
