That's the whole premise the property was built on back in 1986, and it's still the thing that shapes how every wing gets run today, snow on the ground or not.
A Vacant Shoreline Lot, Then a Very Different Kind of Casino Hotel
Most of the casino development along this stretch of Highway 50 happened decades before we broke ground. By the time our ownership group picked up this particular shoreline lot, it had sat undeveloped through most of that earlier boom — which gave us room to build something that didn't follow the old playbook. The casino would be one wing among several, not the reason the whole building existed.
The property grew in phases from there: a second dining room a few years in, then the Cedar & Stone spa wing, and more recently the current pool and fire deck. Each addition was aimed at the same thing — giving guests a real reason to stick around for more than one night.

From what's on the dinner menu to what's in the spa's treatment room, we'd rather work with basin growers and regional producers than run a copy-paste national supply chain.
