The Lake Goes Quiet at Dusk. The Resort Doesn't.
Sunset Harbor sits right on the water at the Nevada end of Lake Tahoe's south shore, where ski days turn into fireside evenings and a table game or two, and summer afternoons drift from the pool deck straight into dinner without anyone needing to get in a car.
Six Wings, Six Different Paces
Nobody stays here for just one thing. Here's what fills a typical itinerary, whether you booked three nights or just came up for the weekend.
Lake View Rooms
Balconies on every floor, facing either the water or the pine-covered courtyard below.
Explore Rooms →Cedar & Stone Spa
Recovery-focused treatments for skiers, plus a facial and massage menu that changes with the seasons.
Visit the Spa →Dining & Bars
A wood-fired steakhouse, a lake-to-table dining room, a breakfast counter, a deck bar, and a rooftop lounge.
See Dining & Bars →Casino Floor
Table games, a working poker room, and a sportsbook lounge that stays loud through the fourth quarter.
See the Casino Floor →Pool & Fire Deck
Heated year-round, with a fire pit ring that turns into the busiest seat in the house once the sun drops.
See the Pool Deck →Weddings & Events
A lakeview ballroom down to a single private dining room, sized for whatever the guest list turns out to be.
See Event Spaces →Not a Ski Hotel. Not a Summer Hotel. Both, on Purpose.
A lot of properties on this stretch of Highway 50 lean into one season and let the rest of the year go quiet. We built Sunset Harbor to do the opposite — the fire pit deck that's packed on a January night is the same spot guests are ordering drinks poolside from in July. Nothing here goes dormant just because the snow melted.

A Few Lines From Recent Stays
Skied Heavenly all morning, was floating in the heated pool by early afternoon watching snow still coming down on the ridge. Did not expect that combination to work as well as it did.
Brought the whole team up for an offsite and the boardrooms had better natural light than our actual office. The steakhouse dinner after sealed the deal on booking again next year.
Three nights, never once got in the car. Breakfast, the fire pit deck, a couple hands of blackjack before bed — it all sat within a five-minute walk of our room.
Five Places to Eat, No Reservation Required at Most of Them
South shore visitors and hotel guests both walk in off the street for these — only two of the five ask you to book ahead.
